_THE HOLIDAY CARD
As you begin this project, keep in mind that you will be creating a holiday card for someone special. Please choose one of your favorite adults on campus (teacher, lunch lady, principal, guidance counselor, ....) Be creative... and most of all, be original! This project should be fun and it should be as original as you can make it.
1. First, choose who you will be giving this card to.
2. Then, begin sketching out some ideas for your card. Remember, you can use typography, create something of your own or even be abstract.
It can be in color. Dimensions for the card are either 5.5 x 8.5 or 8.5 x 5.5 (depending on whether or not you plan to do a vertical card or horizontal card).
ONLY USE SHAPES AND ELEMENTS IN Illustrator to complete this assignment. I will demonstrate in class.
3. Sketch out 3 or 4 ideas on Graph Paper.
You may use an idea from the internet - but you have to re-create it using the tools of Illustrator that you have learned
4. Once I see your idea and approve it, you may begin to layout the page. Check out - re-read - the dimensions (specs) above.
5. As far as what can be written in each card, some ideas are:
6. You will save your files as PDF's. Save it as follows: First Initial_Last Name_Holiday_Period.
7. Then, email to me at ms.babkie@msbabkiesclass.com. Don't forget to have First Initial_Last Name_Holiday_Period in the SUBJECT LINE!
8. HAVE FUN!
