MS. BABKIE'S BIO
I come to Treasure Coast High School during a 30-year career in the Graphic Design Industry. I grew up in Wilton, Connecticut. Both my parents were Art Directors, Illustrators and Graphic Designers. I had a rich lead up to my own career choice. I am so excited to come here to Treasure Coast High School and be a part of this fabulous School District. I maintain an on-going working relationship with Non-Profit Agencies locally and in Connecticut as I believe my Design Gift is best used by giving to the Community. I exect the Students in my Classes will be interested in Designing for the Community. It's so exciting to see your good works; your good design out there, doing good in and for the World!
My education started in the Wilton School system where there was - and still is - a wealth of information, influence and opportunity if one choses Design as a career. I went to Southern Connecticut State University (it was a College at that time) where they were just starting their Graphic Design (GD) Program. While studying GD I also worked in the GD Department for the Campus so my professional status began before I even graduated.
Some of the areas of Design I have been working in include:
Logo Design & Branding • Event Visual Art Design • Commercial Art & Advertising Design • Packaging Design • Marketing & Promotional Design • Calendar, Stationery and Brochure Design • Web Design • E-Mail Promotion
